EXCITING CHANGES FOR RST

Greetings and welcome to 2004!

Effective with this month's issue, RST is excited to announce some major changes  reflecting the continued growth and evolution of this E-zine.

ADDITIONS

Interactive Message Board/Forum

A message board has been added as a new RST feature.  The board can be accessed via the following link:  http://pub124.ezboard.com/brollerskatingtoday  Please bookmark the page and return often to start, join or enliven a discussion.  The board is open for all to register their own personal username which will enable them access to begin posting messages.

Forum topics include:

  • General Discussion - Open for discussions on any topic
  • Allow Me to Introduce Myself. -  Don't be shy-share a little or a lot about you
  • Poetry Lounge - Spot for poets, writers and spoken word artists to "vibe" with each other
  • Rink Review - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
  • Classifieds - Have an item to sell?  Looking for an item to buy?  Post here
  • Suggestion Box - Express what you like or don't like about the RST community.
Monthly Puzzle

For those who like some mental stimulation and challenge, RST will now feature a monthly puzzle for your intellectual pleasure.  The puzzle can be printed out for easier solving.  Look for the "Puzzle" link on the site navigation bar.

DELETIONS

We will no longer be issuing a monthly email newsletter or maintaining a mailing list.  To stay abreast of RST news, announcements, events, updates, etc., please bookmark the Message Board page, http://pub124.ezboard.com/brollerskatingtoday , and stay tuned to the ANNOUNCEMENTS forum where all future monthly updates will be listed.

The forums will be monitored but postings will be uncensored.  For my fellow message board fanatics, we know how some posters are completely out of control on other message boards, and in attempt to avoid that on the RST forums, there will be some posting guidelines that will be enforced.  They are as follows:

Posts containing the following will be deleted:

  • excessive profanity
  • pornography, vulgarity
  • racial/sexual insults or name calling
  • other postings deemed inappropriate by board administrators
Other than that, the sky is the limit on what can be discussed, shared and exchanged on these forums.  These guidelines are not meant to insult any of the RST family, but are simply a precaution since the board will be open to anyone on the web, whether they are a skater or not and whether they are supportive of RST or not.

Thank you all for continuing this journey with RST.  I hope you enjoy participating in the message forums and interacting with skaters (and others) from various states and/or countries.  Register your username today and begin posting and communicating as you will.   ENJOY!!!
